SHOCK REMOVAL

1 Disable the air suspension system and deflate the applicable air spring for the side being serviced according to manufacturer’s instructions.

2 Raise the vehicle.

3 Remove the applicable wheel. (Figure 1)

4 Move the fender liner and disconnect the electrical connector from the top of the shock. (Figure 2)

5 Remove the upper mount nuts. (Figures 3, 4)

6 Remove the lower mount bolt. (Figures 5, 6)

7 Remove the shock from the vehicle. (Figure 7)

SHOCK DIS-ASSEMBLY

1 Remove the OEM top mount from the OEM shock. Discard the OEM nut. (Figure 8)

2 Remove the dust cover and bump stop from the OEM top mount. Remove and discard the washer from the top mount. (Figure 9)

SHOCK DIS-ASSEMBLY

1 Reassemble the top mount with the bump stop and dust cover. Do not reuse the OEM washer or top nut.

2 Install the top mount to the new Arnott shock, using the new provided top nut. Do not reuse the OEM top nut or washer; this may cause damage to the shock or prevent the electrical connector from engaging correctly. (Figures 11, 12)

3 Tighten the top nut to 27 Nm (20 FT-LB).

SHOCK REMOVAL

Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer’s specifications during the installation process.

1 Install the assembled Arnott shock into the vehicle. (Figure 13)

2 Insert the lower mount bolt. Do not tighten at this time. (Figure 14)

3 Install the upper mount nuts. Tighten to manufacturer’s specifications. (Figure 15)

4 Using an appropriate jack or other means, raise the wheel hub to normal trim height. Tighten the lower mount bolt to manufacturer’s specifications. (Figure 16)

5 Reconnect the electrical connector at the top of the shock.

6 Enable and inflate the air suspension system per manufacturer’s instructions.

7 Install the wheel.

8 Installation complete.
