Air Suspension Compressor Assembly Removal

1 Set the steering to straight ahead.

2 Raise the vehicle.

3 Remove protective shroud from under the rear of the vehicle to access the compressor. (Figures 1, 2)

4 Disconnect the three (3) electrical connectors from the valve block and compressor assembly. (Figures 3, 4, 5)

5 Disconnect the rubber intake hose. (Figure 6)

6 Disconnect the red and blue air lines from the valve block (Note: black line does not have to be disconnected). (Figure 7, 8)

7 Remove the four (4) outer mounting nuts that secure the compressor bracket assembly to the vehicle. (Figure 9)

8 Remove the entire compressor assembly from the vehicle. (Figure 10)

Air Suspension Compressor Assembly Installation

Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer’s specifications during the installation process.

1 Install the air compressor assembly into the vehicle using the factory mounting hardware. (Figure 18)

2 Remove plug and insert intake hose. (Figures 19, 20)

3 Reattach the red (upper) and blue (lower) air lines. (Figure 21)

4 Reconnect all three (3) electrical plugs and clip the power plug into the bracket. (Figures 22, 23, 24)

5 Replace the protective shroud over the compressor. Installation complete.

WARNING

Cracked air springs must be changed to validate the warranty on the compressor

Proper procedure for assessing your air spring’s condition

1 Turn off air suspension switch if equipped.

2 Refer to owner’s manual for proper lifting techniques and jacking points.

3 Raise the vehicle.

4 Inspect air springs for any type of cracks or excessive wear. Cracks in air springs are evident if they are leaking. This will cause the compressor to overheat from continuous operation.
