NEW AMK AIR SUSPENSION COMPRESSOR
FOR 2013-2017 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER (L405)
FOR 2014-2017 RANGE ROVER SPORT (L494)
The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Verify pressure has been relieved and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.

Not to be stored below 5°F (-15°C) or above 122°F (50°C).
Avoid damage to air lines and cables.
Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.

Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified
in the instructions or in a different sequence.
To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to
disconnect your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for
additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath
the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
AIR SUSPENSION COMPRESSOR REMOVAL
2. In the back of the vehicle, remove the spare tire compartment cover. (FIGURE 1)
3. Remove the spare tire. (FIGURES 2, 3)
4. Remove the protective pieces and accessories surrounding the compressor compartment. (FIGURES 4, 5, 6)
5. Loosen and remove the two compressor housing bolts. (FIGURES 7, 8)
6. Loosen the compressor housing unit by raising slightly and sliding the clip away from its respective slot, freeing the unit. (FIGURES 9, 10)
7. Flip the compressor housing unit over. Loosen and remove the three compressor mounting fasteners. Save fasteners for re-use. (FIGURE 11)
8. Remove the wire harness panel cover. (FIGURES 12, 13)
9. Remove all of the compressor housing clips. (FIGURE 14)
THE COMPRESSOR HOUSING CLIPS LINE THE ENTIRE OUTER RIM OF THE HOUSING UNIT. ALL CLIPS MUST BE REMOVED FOR INTERIOR ACCESS.
10. Remove the compressor housing cover. (FIGURE 15)
11. Pull out the compressor just enough to access the wiring harness and hoses. (FIGURE 16)
12. Remove the compressor housing mounting hardware and set aside for installation. (FIGURE 17)
13. Disconnect the two electrical connectors. (FIGURES 18, 19, 20)
14. Loosen and disconnect the air line. (FIGURES 21, 22)
15. Remove the collet and VOSS fitting from the air line. (FIGURES 23, 24, 25)
16. Remove the air dryer. (FIGURE 26)
17. Loosen and remove the thermal sensor harness. (FIGURES 27, 28)
18. Remove the compressor. (FIGURE 29)
AIR SUSPENSION COMPRESSOR INSTALLATION
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.
Do not remove the air fitting from the air suspension compressor. Doing so may cause damage and/or void warranty. Remove the white shipping pin from the new air fitting and insert the air line until fully seated.
1. Install the compressor into the vehicle. (FIGURE 30)
2. Install the thermal sensor harness. (FIGURE 31)
3. Reinstall the air dryer. (FIGURE 32)
4. Reinstall the two electrical connectors. (FIGURES 33, 34)
5. Install the air line and gently pull outward to ensure that the air line is secured. (FIGURE 35)
6. Reinstall the compressor housing mounting hardware. (FIGURE 36)
7. Place the compressor back into the compressor housing shell. (FIGURE 37)
8. Reinstall the compressor housing shell secure with respective clips. (FIGURES 38)
THE COMPRESSOR HOUSING CLIPS LINE THE ENTIRE OUTER RIM OF THE HOUSING UNIT. ALL CLIPS MUST BE INSTALLED TO ENSURE THE SHELL IS PROPERLY SECURED.
9. Flip the compressor housing unit over and reinstall the three compressor mounting fasteners. (FIGURE 39)
10. Reinstall the wire harness panel cover. (FIGURE 40)
11. Flip the compressor housing unit back over and place in its respective location, ensuring the bracket is retained properly on the right side. Reinstall the two compressor housing bolts and tighten to manufacturer's specifications. (FIGURES 41, 42)
12. Reinstall the protective pieces and accessories surrounding the compressor compartment.
13. Reinstall the spare tire.
14. Reinstall the spare tire compartment cover.
16. Compressor installation complete.
