ARNOTT COIL SPRING CONVERSION KIT
FOR 2004-2007
JAGUAR XJ SERIES (X350)
The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Verify pressure has been relieved and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.

Not to be stored below 5°F (-15°C) or above 122°F (50°C).
Avoid damage to air lines and cables.
Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.
Use car manufacturer’s diagnostic software.
Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified
in the instructions or in a different sequence.
To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to
disconnect your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for
additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath
the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
3. REMOVE THE SWAY BAR END LINK NUT TO DISCONNECT IT FROM THE LOWER CONTROL ARM. (FIGURE 10-1)
4. REMOVE THE UPPER A-ARM BALL JOINT NUT AND SEPARATE THE UPPER A-ARM BALL JOINT. (FIGURE 10-2)
5. REMOVE THE LOWER SHOCK MOUNT NUT/BOLT. (FIGURE 10-3)
6. DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FROM THE TOP OF THE SHOCK (PUSH ON THE SIDES OF THE
CONNECTOR TO RELEASE). TIE OFF WIRES NOT NEEDED WITH COIL CONVERSION. (FIGURE 10-4)
7. DISCONNECT THE AIR LINE FROM THE CHECK VALVE AND THE FOUR (4) SHOCK MOUNTING NUTS. (FIGURE 10-5)
FRONT COIL SPRING INSTALLATION
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.
1. INSTALLATION IS IN REVERSE ORDER OF AIR STRUT REMOVAL.
2. REMOVE THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM TO EXPOSE THE TOP SIDE OF THE AIR STRUT. (FIGURE 20-1)
3. DISCONNECT THE AIR LINE FROM THE CHECK VALVE TO DEFLATE THE AIR STRUT. (FIGURE 20-2)
4. DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FROM THE TOP OF THE AIR STRUT (PUSH ON THE SIDES OF
THE CONNECTOR TO RELEASE. (FIGURE 20-3)
5. REMOVE THE FOUR (4) AIR STRUT MOUNTING NUTS. (FIGURE 20-4)
6. DETACH THE REAR TIE ROD. (FIGURE 20-5)
7. REMOVE THE LOWER AIR STRUT MOUNTING BOLT. (FIGURE 20-6)
8. REMOVE AIR STRUT. (FIGURE 20-7)
REAR COIL SPRING INSTALLATION
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.
1. INSTALLATION IS IN REVERSE ORDER OF AIR STRUT REMOVAL.
If instrument cluster displays cats fault or air suspension error codes disconnect the battery for a
minimum of 30 minutes to reset and clear any stored codes.
