Set steering to straight ahead.

Raise vehicle.

Remove applicable front wheel. (Figure 1)

Remove applicable engine bay trim to access the strut top beneath. (Figure 2)

Locate the shock tower and begin by removing applicable engine bay trim. (Figures 3, 4)

Refer to Owner’s Manual for shock removal instructions. Remove the (4) nuts securing the strut in place. (Figure 5)

Disconnect electrical connector. (Figure 6)

Disconnect airline. (Figures 7, 8)

Disconnect ride height sensor (Figures 9, 10)

Remove rubber grommets from spindle assembly. (Figure 11)

Remove sway bar end link bolt. (Figures 12, 13)

Loosen and remove the upper control arms and remove spindle bolt. (Figures 14, 15)

Loosen and remove shock fork pinch bolt. (Figure 16)

Loosen and remove the lower shock mounting bolt. (Figures 17, 18)

Lift the shock up and out of the lower mounting fork. (Figure 19)

Remove from vehicle. (Figure 20)

Removal complete.
STRUT INSTALLATION
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer’s specifications during the installation process.

Install the strut into the vehicle and seat it in the lower mounting fork. (Figures 21, 22)

Install the lower shock mounting bolt and tighten. (Figures 23, 24)

Install and tighten the shock fork pinch bolt. (Figure 25)

Reinstall the spindle bolt and tighten the upper control arms. (Figures 26, 27)
5
Install the sway bar end link bolt. (Figure 28)

Install the rubber grommets onto the spindle assembly. (Figure 29)
7
Reconnect the ride height sensor. (Figures 30, 31)

Remove the plug from valve check and install provided VOSS fitting snug tight with a wrench. Then remove shipping plug from VOSS fitting. (Figures 32, 33, 34)

Prepare air line by removing old VOSS fitting using the figure below as an example. (Figure 35)
Removal
Prior to inserting the existing air line into the new air strut you will need to remove the old original equipment air line fitting and discard.
Scratches and/or deep cuts in the air line can result in possible leaks. Inspect the air line before insertion. Air line needs to be replaced if damaged.

Insert air line into new VOSS fitting. Press airline in firmly until it is seated. (Figure 36)

Reconnect electrical connector. (Figure 37)

Use the provided spacers on the four (4) top mounts. Ensure the lip of the spacer faces down and seats in the top mount hole completely before installing the four (4) top mount nuts and tightening them to manufacturer’s specifications. (Figures 38, 39)

Reinstall engine bay trim.

Reinstall applicable front wheel.

Installation complete.
