AIR STRUT REMOVAL

1 Raise the vehicle and remove the applicable wheel. (FIGURE 1)

2 Deflate the vehicle air suspension system per manufacturer’s specifications. Remove the engine bay trim panel from the applicable side. (FIGURE 2)

3 Disconnect the air line from the strut. (FIGURES 3, 4)

4 Disconnect and un-route the wiring harness from the strut’s solenoid. (FIGURES 5, 6)

5 Un-route the brake line from the bracket on the strut. (FIGURES 7, 8)

6 Remove the nut and bolt from the strut’s lower mount. (FIGURES 9, 10)

7 Remove the three (3) nuts from the strut’s upper mount. (FIGURES 11, 12)

8 Pull down on the wheel hub and remove the strut. (FIGURE 13)

9 Removal complete.

AIR STRUT INSTALLATION

1 Remove the brake line and wire harness brackets from the OEM strut. Install the brackets onto the new strut. (FIGURES 14, 15)

2 Remove the shipping plug from the air valve. (FIGURES 16, 17)

3 Install the new VOSS fitting included with the strut. Tighten the fitting to 2 NM. (FIGURES 18, 19)

4 Install the new strut into the vehicle. (FIGURE 20)

5 Install the lower mount nut and bolt. Tighten to manufacturer’s specifications. (FIGURES 21, 22)

6 Install the three (3) included upper mount nuts. Tighten to manufacturer’s specifications. (FIGURES 23, 24)

7 Route the brake line into the bracket on the strut. (FIGURES 25, 26)

8 Route the wiring harness and connect to the strut’s solenoid. (FIGURES 27, 28)

9 Remove the shipping pin from the VOSS fitting and install the air line. (FIGURES 29, 30)

REMOVAL

Prior to inserting the existing air line into the new air strut you will need to remove the old original equipment air line fitting and discard.

Scratches and/or deep cuts in the air line can result in possible leaks. Inspect the air line before insertion. Air line needs to be replaced if damaged.

10 Inflate vehicle air suspension per manufacturer’s specifications.

11 Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.

12 Installation complete.
