AIR STRUT REMOVAL

1 Set steering to straight ahead.

2 Lift vehicle and remove wheel. (Figure 1)

3 Locate and remove the seal and plastic cover in the engine compartment. (Figures 2, 3)

4 Locate and remove the three (3) top mounting bolts. (Figures 4, 5, 6)

5 Locate and remove the air line. Remove the air line fitting from the air hose and discard. (Figure 7)

6 Locate and disconnect the electrical plug from the bottom of the shock. (Figure 8)

7 Loosen and remove the pinch bolt holding the upper control arms to the spindle assembly. (Figures 9, 10)

8 Loosen and remove the lower mounting nut and bolt. (Figures 11, 12)

9 Remove the air strut from the vehicle. (Figure 13)

10 Remove the four (4) top mounting nuts to separate the O.E. air strut from the top mount assembly. (Figures 14, 15)

11 Removal complete.

AIR STRUT INSTALLATION

Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer’s specifications during the installation process.

Do not remove the air fitting from the air spring. Doing so may cause damage and/or void warranty. Remove the white shipping pin from the new air fitting and insert the air line until fully seated.

1 Install O.E. top mount assembly to the arnott air strut making sure the arms face the air fitting side of the strut. Tighten the included bolts in an alternating pattern to manufacturer specifications. (Figures 16, 17)

2 Remaining installation is in the reverse order of air strut removal.

3 Installation complete.
