ARNOTT REMANUFACTURED FRONT AIR STRUT
FOR AUDI A6/A7, S6/S7 (C7)
The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Verify pressure has been relieved and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.

Not to be stored below 5°F (-15°C) or above 122°F (50°C).
Avoid damage to air lines and cables.
Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.
Use car manufacturer’s diagnostic software.
Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified
in the instructions or in a different sequence.
To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to
disconnect your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for
additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath
the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
1. Set steering to straight ahead.
3. Remove front wheel. (FIGURE 1)
4. Remove applicable engine bay trim to access the strut top beneath. (FIGURE 2)
5. Locate the shock tower and begin by removing applicable engine bay trim. (FIGURES 3, 4)
6. Refer to owner’s manual for shock removal instructions. Remove the (4) nuts securing the strut in place. (FIGURE 5)
7. Disconnect electrical connector. (FIGURE 6)
8. Disconnect airline. (FIGURE 7, 8)
9. Disconnect ride height sensor. (FIGURE 9, 10)
10. Remove rubber grommets from spindle assembly. (FIGURE 11)
11. Remove sway bar end link bolt. (FIGURES 12, 13)
12. Loosen and remove the upper control arms and remove spindle bolt. (FIGURES 14, 15)
13. Loosen and remove shock fork pinch bolt. (FIGURE 16)
14. Loosen and remove the lower shock mounting bolt. (FIGURES 17, 18)
15. Lift the shock up and out of the lower mounting fork. (FIGURE 19)
16. Remove from vehicle. (FIGURE 20)
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.
1. Install the air strut into the vehicle and seat it in the lower mounting fork. (FIGURES 21, 22)
2. Install the lower shock mounting bolt and tighten. (FIGURES 23, 24)
3. Install and tighten the shock fork pinch bolt. (FIGURE 25)
4. Reinstall the spindle bolt and tighten the upper control arms. (FIGURES 26, 27)
5. Install the sway bar end link bolt. (FIGURES 28, 29)
6. Install the rubber grommets onto the spindle assembly. (FIGURE 30)
7. Reconnect the ride height sensor. (FIGURES 31, 32)
8. Remove plug from check valve and install provided VOSS fitting as per TSB-7G. (FIGURES 33, 34)
9. Reconnect electrical connector. (FIGURE 35)
10. Refer to owner’s manual for shock installation instructions. Install the (4) nuts securing the strut in place. (FIGURE 36)
11. Reinstall the applicable engine bay trim. (FIGURES 37, 38)
12. Reinstall the applicable engine bay trim. (FIGURE 39)
14. Installation complete.
