ARNOTT FRONT AIR STRUT
FOR 2013-2020 RAM 1500/1500 CLASSIC (DS/DJ) w/AIR SUSPENSION - LT/RT
The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Verify pressure has been relieved and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.

Not to be stored below 5°F (-15°C) or above 122°F (50°C).
Avoid damage to air lines and cables.
Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.
Use car manufacturer’s diagnostic software.
Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified
in the instructions or in a different sequence.
To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to
disconnect your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for
additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath
the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
1. Set steering to straight ahead.
REFER TO THE SERVICE MANUAL FOR PROPER DEFLATION PROCEDURE.
3. Remove applicable front wheel. (FIGURE 1)
4. Loosen and remove the tie rod end nut. (FIGURE 2)
5. Loose and remove the two sway bar end link nuts. (FIGURES 3, 4)
6. Loosen and remove the upper control arm nut. (FIGURE 5)
7. Loosen and remove the nut and bolt from the bottom strut fork. (FIGURE 6)
8. Loosen and remove the air fitting from the top of the strut. (FIGURE 7)
9. Loosen and remove the three top strut mounting nuts. (FIGURE 8)
10. Remove the strut. (FIGURE 9)
12. Install the new strut into the vehicle. (FIGURE 10)
13. Install the three top strut mounting nuts and tighten to manufacturer's specifications. (FIGURE 11)
14. Remove the white shipping pin from the air strut and discard. (FIGURE 12)
15. Remove the existing air line elbow, and then install the new elbow onto the air line. (FIGURES 13, 14)
16. Install the air line until fully seated, pulling outward slightly to confirm engagement. (FIGURES 15, 16)
17. Install the upper control arm nut and tighten to manufacturer's specifications. (FIGURE 17)
18. Reinstall the strut's bottom nut and bolt and tighten to manufacturer's specifications. (FIGURE 18)
19. Reinstall and tighten the two sway bar end link nuts to manufacturer's specifications. (FIGURES 19, 20)
20. Reinstall the tie rod end nut and tighten to manufacturer's specifications. (FIGURE 21)
21. Re-install applicable front wheel.

23. Installation complete.
