Proper installation is essential to experience and appreciate the benefits of this system. Please take a moment to review these installation instructions before you begin to install these components on your vehicle. The removal and installation of air suspension products should only be performed by a fully qualified, ASE Certified, professional.

It is equally important to be aware of all necessary safety measures while installing your new Air Suspension System. This includes proper lifting and immobilizing of the vehicle and isolation of any stored energy to prevent personal injury or property damage.

C-3270 Arnott Coil Spring Conversion Kit

WARNING: The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Verify pressure has been relieved and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.

Not to be stored below 5°F (-15°C) or above 122°F (50°C).

Avoid damage to air lines and cables.

Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.

Use car manufacturer’s diagnostic software.

CAUTION: Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified in the instructions or in a different sequence.

WARNING: To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to disconnect your battery.

WARNING: Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.

FRONT AIR STRUT REMOVAL

1. Raise vehicle.

2. Remove front wheels.

3. Remove the sway bar end link nut to disconnect it from the lower control arm. (FIGURE 1)

4. Remove the upper A-Arm ball joint nut and separate the upper A-Arm ball joint. (FIGURE 2)

5. Remove the lower shock mount nut/bolt. (FIGURE 3)

6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the top of the shock (push on the sides of the connector to release). Tie off wires not needed with coil conversion. (FIGURE 4)

7. Disconnect the air line from the check valve and the four (4) shock mounting nuts. Tuck unused airline into suitable location (away from moving parts and sources of heat). (FIGURE 5)

8. Remove air strut.

FRONT COIL SPRING INSTALLATION

WARNING: Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.

1. Place coil spring onto vehicle. (FIGURE 6)

2. Install bottom mounting bolt. (FIGURE 7)

3. Attach the upper A-Arm ball joint and install the nut. (FIGURES 8, 9)

REAR AIR STRUT REMOVAL

1. Remove rear wheels.

NOTE:  With vehicle properly lifted, shift the car into neutral to release tension on the rear suspension prior to disassembly.

2. Remove the luggage compartment side trim to expose the top side of the air strut. (FIGURE 13)

3. Disconnect the air line from the check valve. (FIGURE 14)

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the top of the air strut (push on the sides of the connector to release. (FIGURE 15)

5. Remove the four (4) air strut mounting nuts. (FIGURE 16)

REAR COIL SPRING INSTALLATION

WARNING: Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.

1. Install rear coil spring on vehicle. (FIGURE 20)

3. Install tie rod bolt and tighten nut. (FIGURES 22, 23)

4. Tighten top mount nuts. (FIGURE 24)

ELECTRONIC BYPASS MODULE INSTALLATION

1. Remove rear seat by pulling levers under cushion, 2 per side and lifting seat. (FIGURE 25)

2. Pull cord to release seat back while rotating top of seat forward, both sides. (FIGURE 26)

3. Pull insulation forward on right side of vehicle to access computer. (FIGURE 27)

4. Unplug all connectors from the control module. (FIGURE 28)

5. Locate the yellow, 6-pin connector with 5 wires terminated. (FIGURE 29)

6. Install the four (4) connector splice to male spade terminals onto the wires using the diagram provided. (FIGURES 30, 31)

7. Connect the EBM to the terminals using the diagram provided. (FIGURES 32, 33)

8. Secure the EBM and vehicle’s wiring harness in a suitable location. Do not plug the vehicle’s wiring harness back into the air suspension’s control module.

9. Reinstall the seat.

NOTE:  If instrument cluster displays cats fault or air suspension error codes disconnect the battery for a minimum of 30 minutes to reset and clear any stored codes.
