ARNOTT REMANUFACTURED REAR SHOCK
FOR MERCEDES E-CLASS (W211/W219) AMG W/ADS
The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Verify pressure has been relieved and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to disassembly. Do not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard hand, ear, and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system.

Not to be stored below 5°F (-15°C) or above 122°F (50°C).
Avoid damage to air lines and cables.
Removal and installation is only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.
Use car manufacturer’s diagnostic software.
Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is carried out in a manner other than specified
in the instructions or in a different sequence.
To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to
disconnect your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for
additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath
the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
1. Set steering to straight.
3. Remove applicable rear wheel and wheel well liner. (FIGURE 1)
4. Using the das-star system, electronically deflate the rear air spring. (FIGURE 2)
5. Disconnect the top two electrical connectors and unroute the wires. (FIGURE 3)
6. Loosen and remove the strut rod bolt/nut. (FIGURES 4, 5)
7. Loosen, but do not remove the air spring’s bottom mount bolt/nut. (FIGURE 6)
8. Loosen and remove the bottom mount bolt/nut from the damper. (FIGURE 7)
9. Removal applicable trunk liner.
10. In the trunk, loosen and remove the top damper nut. Save the washer and rubber bushing for re-use. (FIGURE 8)
11. Compress the damper and remove from vehicle. (FIGURES 9, 10)
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer's specifications during the installation process.
1. Remove the top nut from the damper. Do not discard the nut. (FIGURE 11)
2. Install the damper into the vehicle. (FIGURE 12)
3. Reinstall previously removed bushing and washer onto the top of the damper tennon. (FIGURES 13, 14)
4. Reinstall the provided top nut onto the damper and tighten to manufacturer’s specifications. (FIGURE 15)
5. Reinstall the damper’s bottom mount bolt/nut and tighten to manufacturer’s specifications. (FIGURE 16)
6. Tighten the air spring’s bottom mount bolt to manufacturer’s specifications. (FIGURE 17)
7. Reinstall the strut rod bolt/nut and tighten to manufacturer’s specifications. (FIGURE 18)
8. Reroute the electrical connector wires back through, fastening them into their respective clips. (FIGURES 19, 20, 21)
9. Reinstall the two electrical connectors into the vehicle. (FIGURES 22, 23)
10. Fasten the electrical wires into place along the wiring guide. (FIGURE 24)
11. Reinstall wheel well and trunk liners.
14. Installation complete.
